Biosketch

Dr. Byrne holds the rank of Clinical Professor of Neurology and Internal Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine and is Assistant Chief of the Department of Neurology at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr. Byrne did his neuro-oncology fellowship at Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where he was American Association of Brain Tumor Research Fellow. His interests include mechanisms of invasion of gliomas and the neurological complications of systemic cancer. He sees patients with primary brain tumors and neurological complications of systemic cancer. Among those with systemic cancer, he sees patients with metastatic disease to the brain and spine and non-metastatic disease such as paraneoplastic syndromes.
